Chrihanna Saga Continues

With less than a week until Chris Brown’s April 6 arraignment, rumors continue to swirl around the couple who are currently putting some distance between each other. The latest from the rumor mill has Rihanna requesting a public apology from Chris – as a guest on Oprah Winfrey’s talk show.

Sources affiliated with Look Magazine say “Rihanna has been talking to Oprah Winfrey on a regular basis since late February when Oprah begged her not to take Chris back. She’s been having second thoughts about them being back together.”

“Agreeing to go on Oprah’s show and tell the world how sorry he is will help make up her mind,” the insider went on to tell Look Magazine.

Sorry or not, even an apology may not keep Rihanna from taking the stand against her man. Contrary to a story released by Fox News Monday night, both Rihanna’s lawyer and the Los Angeles County District Attorney Spokesperson say the “Take A Bow” diva is cooperating with the Chris Brown ‘making criminal threats’ and ‘felony assault’ case. Flipmode leader Busta Rhymes recently discussed the disadvantages to today’s technology advancements saying the computer makes people less inspired to interact with one another.

The New York-bred emcee broke down his problems with technology in a new FlipmodeTV video clip.

“If me and a n*gga in the same room, right, we in the hotel, we on the road,” Busta explained. “I’m next door to a n*gga and we got the door that connects the rooms, so he ain’t gotta go in the hallway to holla at me, knock on the door…Instead of doing that, n*gga textin’ me, who in the room with ’em. N*gga textin’ me. Nobody in the room with him. The computer has made n*ggas lazy. The computer has made n*ggas interact less. It’s dehumanizing people, homie. It’s dehumanizing you, that’s all I’m saying. Because now when that same n*gga send me a text and I misinterpret what I’m reading because I can’t feel what his real intent was, now I respond f*cked up.” (Flipmode TV) Read the rest of this entry »

Mobb Deep producer The Alchemist recently discussed the impact the “Hip-Hop Police” has had on rap music and how the undercover organization still profiles artists.

Alchemist said he believes the authorities attempt to draw illegal connections to rappers.

“They profile rappers,” Al said in an interview. “They are knowledgable of who is in the rap game…They know who Alchemist is. They know who Prodigy is so when they drive around New York they see ’em, they follow where they’re going, they take pictures, they put together a book…cause they know all the rappers are friends with people in the street, they come from the street…They wanna make connections now so when somebody gets shot or some drug deal goes down, they got all the info…They wanna know the guys in the streets that hang out with the artists. If you listen to rap, nine times outta ten we’re snitching on ourselves…Like Supreme who was connected with Ja Rule…They start saying f*ck that, we’re gonna start watching all these rappers and see who they’re friends with.” (Vod Pod) Read the rest of this entry »
